Lauryn Besasie: Adrian Boot

A photograph , to me, is not only beautiful and intriguing because of its quality (light, composition, etc.), but also because of its ability to expose a naked moment with an insight otherwise tainted by any other media. I love Adrian Boot's photograph of The Clash because I love their style of music, and also because of the way it captures the moment. Adrian Boot was a music photographer who worked mainly with new music movements. The fact that this photo is in black and white only adds to its overall success; the gestures, the enviornment, and the details, such as facial expression and the clothing are truely revealed because of the lack of color. I can only hope to emulate it half as good.

I like the recreated photo better than the original, it conveys more edge and emotion.
